Three Day Advanced Technician Training Program at IIT Kanpur Central Workshop

As per the MOU of JK centre for Technician Training with IIT Kanpur regarding the advanced workshop Training, A Three Day Technician Training Program for the local youths concluded at IIT Kanpur on Sunday, 12th Jan 2014. The Program was organized by the Central workshop of IIT Kanpur for the Trainees of JK centre for technician Training (JK CTT) from 10th to 12th January 2014.
Total of 30 Trainees (18 of JKCTT & 12 of JK ITC) getting training in Mechanical fitter Trade got an opportunity to learn advanced skills from the experienced staff members of the central workshop & the department of Mechanical Engineering of the Institute. The trainees will also get a certificate from the IIT Kanpur.
This is the 1st of it’s kind of any association of a vocational Training Centre with the Institute like IIT Kanpur. Both the Institutes are also discussing for involving 4-5 best trainees of the batch in another 6-7 days for project related works & further awarding them a certificate also.
Mr. Ashutosh Tiwari, Manager JKCTT informed that this was the 2nd batch of JK centre for Technician Training for the workshop at IIT Kanpur. The entire course was conducted & co ordinated by the staff members of JKCTT Kanpur & IIT kanpur under the supervision Mr. Lalit Khanna, Head of Operations JKCTT & f Prof Sameer Khandekar, Head of central workshop IIT Kanpur.
Mr. Lalit Khanna, head of Operations, JKCTT stressed on the need of small projects to be developed by these trainees for improving the quality of Technical cadre & enhancing the chances of Self Employment.
